Survey Says: AWS is the ‘Most Loved’ Development Platform

In a new survey by Stack Overflow Q&A coding website, Amazon Web Services was named as one of the top three most-loved development platforms.
AWS ranked No. 1 in the survey that surveyed more than 100,000 developers-type respondents. AWS was ranked 3 out of the top-loved platforms by respondents (68.6%), just behind Linux (76.5%) and serverless (75.2%).
According to the survey, the most popular question was about the percentage of developers who use a technology to develop and are interested in continuing to do so.
AWS offers both serverless computing and an Amazon Linux AMI (Amazon Machine Image). Although Stack Overflow did not specify whether those Linux and serverless respondents were separate from AWS respondents but the platform is essential for cloud computing development.

AWS was No. 4 among the most popular platforms (the most choices that respondents said they had done development work for this past year). AWS was 4th behind Linux, Windows Desktop or Server, and Android. Microsoft’s Azure was the next most popular cloud platform at No. 10.
Respondents were also asked about their most-dread platforms. This is the percentage of developers who use the technology, but have not expressed an interest in continuing to do so. AWS was at No. 24. Serverless was the lowest.
